Privacy
This is a personal portfolio. It has no accounts, no newsletter, no shop and no analytics. The only thing you can type into is the contact form, and nothing is collected unless you send it.

What happens when you open this page
Two things involve someone other than me just by opening the page. A third happens only if you send me a message:
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare (hosting & CDN) |
Your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in standard server logs. | It is what delivers the page to you and protects the site from attacks. There is no way to serve a website without this. |
| Instagram / Meta (only if you ask for it) |
Your IP address, and cookies Meta may set in your browser. | The reel on the home page is not loaded automatically. Nothing is sent to Meta unless you click “Load the reel”. If you never click, Meta never hears from you. |
| Cloudflare and Google (only if you send a message) |
Your name, your email address and your message. | Cloudflare turns the form into an email and sends it to my Gmail inbox (Google), where I read it and reply. Your IP address is used for a few seconds to stop spam, and is not stored by me. |
What this site deliberately does not do: no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no A/B testing, no fingerprinting, and no fonts or scripts loaded from third-party servers. The typefaces are served from this domain precisely so that nobody else gets your IP address.
The contact form
If you send a message, your name, your email address and your message are sent through Cloudflare, which already hosts this site, to my Gmail inbox. No form service, tracker or mailing list is involved. I use them only to reply to you, and I delete them when the conversation is over or when you ask. The legal basis is your consent, given by sending the message.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. If you load the Instagram reel, Meta may set its own — see the cookie notice.
If you load the reel, that single choice is remembered in your browser’s session storage for the duration of your visit, so you are not asked twice. It contains one value (reel-ok), never leaves your device, and disappears when you close the tab.
How long anything is kept
I keep no database. If you send a message, it stays in my email inbox while we are in touch, and I delete it when the conversation is over or as soon as you ask. Cloudflare’s server logs are retained under their own retention policy, which I do not control.
Legal basis (EU/UK visitors, GDPR)
- Hosting logs: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — delivering the site and keeping it secure.
- The Instagram embed: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given by clicking the button. You can simply not click.
- The contact form: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given by sending the message. The short spam check uses legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK or Australia you have the right to ask what data relates to you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Unless you have written to me through the form, I hold no data about you. If you have, I will tell you exactly what I have and delete it on request. Use the contact form for any of these requests.
Australia
This site is run by an individual, not a business with turnover above the threshold in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Australian Privacy Principles are followed here as a matter of practice rather than obligation.
Changes
